Rumours swirl about a secret Phillips Brewing product called Area 52, where renegade hoptomology breeds experimental hoppy beers known only by their call signs. We deny everything, Chimpanzebra does not exist.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy amber color with creamy head. The aroma is hoppy, a bit fruity, with light vegetables. Rather dry mouthfeel, caramel flavor, some good hop but also a metallic and vegetable feeling.
Not a bad beer, but it’s not refined.

Bottle. Dark golden, offwhite head. Spiffy grassy sparkly grassy on a medium light dry sparkly body. Very nice fresh hop profile, classic grassy and earthy notes. Nice.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear dark orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very earthy and vegetal, but pretty subtle. Flavour is unfortunately strong on these notes, with bitter earthy hops lingering. Very rough and some off-notes are definitely present here. Not one of Phillips' better IPAs.
