Ogar Polski is not a crazy Polack. Ogar Polski is a Polish hound. It is an ancient Polish dog, known for its sharp nose and hard-working nature.
In our opinion, this dog is perfect for characterising Grodziskie. Grodziskie is an old beer style from Poland. This beer is made from wheat malt that has been dried over an oak wood fire. The light and golden-coloured wheat malt mixed with heavy smoky oak delivers quite a dotty flavour. A Polish-style flavour.

Pale golden color with big white head. Aroma is smokey ham, sweet grains as well. Taste is grainy, some ham, smokey meaty finish. A bit too weak. Ok.

A light yellow, a head is white and small. Aroma is interesting, smooth and strong oaky smokyness, some sourness and salted ham. Taste has smooth smoke, ham and some maltyness. Unfortunately, the end is slightly musty. Quite light bodied but still just like as it should be. Interesting and succesfully beer, unique and personal.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 29150924, thanks Marduk and pity I sat on this one too long, 20151030) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky and bitter. A nice smoked brew with a bit too stingy palate.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Hazy yellowish with a small white head. Quite tart with lemon, salt and grass. Also some light bread. Soft and easy to drink. It’s really fun with all these new breweries coming up in countries like Estonia.
