In our opinion, this dog is perfect for characterising Grodziskie. Grodziskie is an old beer style from Poland. This beer is made from wheat malt that has been dried over an oak wood fire. The light and golden-coloured wheat malt mixed with heavy smoky oak delivers quite a dotty flavour. A Polish-style flavour.

0.33 l bottle from Ambrosetti, Berlin. Shared with Marko and vsxsv. Hazy pale straw, medium off-white head. Mild smoky aroma. Flavour is also very nicely smoked. Also light malted wheat. Very sophisticated, mild, light. Some tartness in the finish and smoke again. Good one.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Ephemeral, smoky and spicy aroma loses complexity rather rapidly, initial notes of smoked ham and hints of sauerkraut fade away, a more peaty impression remains. Taste is mildly tart, slightly smoky and minimally spicy, hints of oak wood, oak wood ashes, a touch of sauerkraut; light and watery throughout. Slightly oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Starts promising, doesn't hold the height.

(Bottle, from Bollt3.5hop, Stockholm) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy, white head. Smoky, slightly sourish nose with notes of smoke, bread and citrus (lemon). Fruity, smoky taste with peaches, citrus, white bread, smoke, some pine needles and a finish with low bitterness and a slight tartness. Light body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting, fresh and tasty with a generous smoke character. Quite enjoyable.
