Bottle from Alko. Black, dark brown head that is quite big and long lasting. Bourbon roasty toasty nose. Flavor is massive, very smooth mix of light soy / sweetness / licorice underpinned by warm bourbon. Skewed a bit towards the sweet end of the spectrum.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 3087, from Alko, 20190504) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, vanilla and wood. Palate was full bodied, dry and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, booze, vanilla, ash and bitterness. The wood and booze were too intense at the finish - otherwise pleasant brew with barrel effects.

33 cl bottle @ Mallas Kabacka. Aroma has bourbon with vanilla and quite nothing else. Flavour has licorice, bourbon, pot coffee and some salty and herbal notes. Aroma was promising but flavour feels a bit straightforward and thin. Like a bourbon version of a foreign stout.
