bottle from Waitrose Sidmouth (08/2010). Amber-chestnut colour, hoppy nose. Light malty base with lots of robust hops. Dry palate. Good.

500ml bottle. Pours amber with a small head. Aroma is caramel and some floral notes. Starts with some caramel. Hint of fruity malt to finish. Thin in the mouth.

Medium pale brown lasting head. Chestnut brown body. Faint peppery roasty floral aroma. Dry-sweetish caramelly metallic wooden taste with peppery floral notes. Mid-to-thin body. Clean, fresh palate. Dry floral fruity aftertaste with wooden metallic notes. Faintly perfumy. Quite nice, but perhaps slightly artificial-like. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)

500ml bottle picked up at Centra Colosseum in Oslo. Golden-brown body with brilliant clarity. Dense, off-white head with plenty of lacework. Lighter aroma of pale malts and mild hops. Semi-sweet, malty flavour with suggestions of fruity hops, supported by a discreet spicy touch. Leafy hop bitterness to a subdued finish. Soft in the mouth. Food friendly, standard bitter (Tromsø, 26.09.2009).

Nice warm aroma with wood and nut hints, not too strong, but very present, good stuff there. Looks very appetizing with a nice big head as well as a pleasant amber-brown. Taste is quite simple, however, lots of malts in the nose and a slightly dry finish. Pretty good session beer I think.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.0%. Deep golden to amber colour, big to moderate and slightly off-white lasting head. Moderate aroma of malts with some herbal and spicy notes (probably from the First Gold hops), hints of orange marmalade and caramel. The flavour has moderate malts with some notes of caramel, and fairly nice spicy and herbal hops again. Moderately bitter aftertaste.

50cl bottle. Pours clear copper/amber with a small white head. Nose is mild and vague of floral hops, citrus and malts. Medium to Thin palate. Low carbonation. Caramel and orange. Ends dry, mild and bitter. Drinkable - yet still a bit boring!

They write world champion ?Dark amber colour with medium white head.Aroma of caramel and malt,sweet light nutty mouth feels with hoppy afterlast but not much of World champion of taste.

bottle 50cl. clear amber nice white head. aroma is fruity nice tempered but still very characteristic hoppy aroma. flavor reminds me of a nice pilsener, but it is nothing special, a little letdown as the aroma was real good, overall still a good pilsener in my book even if its a bitter acc to ratebeer.
