Brixton’s famous street market winds down Atlantic Road, brimming with exotic wares. Bold aromas and flavours compete for passing attention, a bit like our Atlantic A.P.A. A deluge of aroma hops after the boil and generous dry hopping deliver a juicy tropical flavour. Extra Pale malt keeps it crisp and lets the hops rule.

Keg at The Noose & Monkey. It pours ever so slightly hazy golden - yellow with a bubbly white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, quite juicy, tropical fruit vibes, tangy citrus, orangey, grapefruit, orange squash and a touch of pine. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, quite clean, pleasing hit of bitterness which lingers, pine needles, pithy, zesty, lemon - lime, grapefruit and that's about it. Finish is dry and fruity. Average body and moderate, fizzy carbonation. Actually really not bad at all. Very drinkable.

Keg draught at the taproom in Brixton. Light yellow, lazy with a film of white head.grapefruit dominates the aroma, there's also vanilla, some floral notes and some soap. Sweet taste with and incredibly soapy note creeping in with the second-half bitterness. Really mars a good beer. Light to medium oily body, soft carbonation. A real shame it's not better...

Can from local Asda (reduced price). Pours lemon yellow with minimal white head and fairly high carbonation. Theres a strong aroma of grapefruit and citrus here – plus a little boiled cabbage ! Tangerine and grapefruit are immediately apparent in the mouth, with tropical fruits, herbs, and sticky pine taking their time to be felt. Finish is rather sweet. Nice enough if you like that sort of thing – but not much body to it.

Can on 1st October 2021 from Gorillas. Pours hazy yellowy amber with dense white foam quickly reducing to a film, and scant lacing. Spicy caramel malt aroma with some tangy fruits. Zesty citrus in-mouth with nutty malts. A grassy and citrusy finish. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body.
