Draught @ Roppelt, Trossenfurt. Quite the banger. Pours cloudy amber copper with a White head. Caramel and Rye. Marmelade, Chocolate and herbal hops. Chewy malty with a Dry hoppy finish. Bad - reminding me a bit of Gradl’s bock. 4.3.

Endlich das Bockbier vom Trossenfurter Roppelt! Flasche vom unverzichtbaren Landbierparadies-Versand. So geht Bockbier! (5.4.2024.)

(bottle) Clear, bright golden to copper colour with a medium-sized and off-white foamy head. Bready malty aroma with hints of caramel and a whiff of candied, slightly honeyed fruits. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Malt-accented base with caramel, bready notes, toasted cereal, as well as a subtle fruity touch; Sweet malty and delicately hop bitter finish with bready cara-malt and a whiff of metal. Decent but also a bit sticky. 14.VI.18

Preissn-Fläschla: Golden to deep golden, medium-sized - creamy and lacy - white head; moderate honeyish-malty and mildly toasty or bready nose, traces of herbal hops underneath; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, not even soft; lingering sweet-bitter bready-malty finish, balanced by a good dash of herbal hops. Solid franconian quality...

Enjoyed at the brewery. Clear amber with medium off white head. Aroma had toasted malt, caramel and toffee. Flavor had toasted malt, caramel, toffee and floral hops. Dry in the end and bitter. Perfect example for the style.
