Imported German malts give this modern Festbier a subtle sweetness. Lighter in body than a Marzen and deep gold in color with aromas of toasted grains. Crisp, crackery malt flavor balanced by German noble hop flavor and aroma. Smooth and highly drinkable.

Sample at the Sandusky Kroger bar. Pours a bright, clear, orange color, with a big, foamy, off-white head. The aroma is mild apple, dust, rye, brown sugar, and pine. Sweet and malty, with a sharp, light bitterness. Medium body, with a crisp, chewy mouthfeel. This is pretty assertive and hoppy for an Oktoberfest, but pretty good.

Sample at Bob's Bar during the "Fatheads w/ A Cask!!!" event on 09/28/2017. Slightly hazy copper color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
