At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly head, brown to dark red and quite clear color, aroma of dried figs and dates, mushrooms and some caramel, flavor of caramel and bread, medium sweetness, light bitterness. Not much of a porter.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks rayaron. Brown. Aroma of caramel, oxidation, honey, fruitiness, toast, a bit of licorice, and alcohol. Sweet flavor with caramel, fruitiness, oxidation, a light chocolate hint, and alcohol. Medium-bodied. Not really my thing.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Deep dark brown to black colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, koetjesreep, some roasted malts, alcohol, raisins, wine. Flavour is sweet, koetjesreep, fake milk chocolate, roasted malts, fruity sweet, alcohol, light bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. Not great, previous version was a lot better.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, BB 12-12-15, large sample. Slight hazy dark redbrown color, short frothy brown head. Aroma of soft roast, bit fruity, blackcurrant, spicy yeast, raisin. Some raisiny sweetness in taste, bit dry, spicy. More of a rochefort type of beer instead of an export stout. A bit disappointed by the fact they completely miss the style indication. Beer itself is ok, but I expected something completely different. -0.4 for style abuse.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is dry light malt, light creamy caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a rich sweet roasty malt, raspberry citrus palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle from ABcbeers, Thin creamy off white head. Clear deep burgundy pour. Lighter than the extra stout. I much prefer the extra stout
