Ale Fermented in Oak
Exoculo is a blend of saison fermented and aged in oak and refermented on pluots.
The 2019 harvest blend was created from a spelt saison fermented and aged in oak, and a hoppy spelt and wheat beer open fermented in stainless and aged in oak. This blend was then refermented on 'flavor grenade' pluots grown in Selah, Washington by Collins Family Orchard.
Collins Family is a fourth generation farm which has been in operation for over 100 years in the Yakima Valley.
This beer was refermented to condition in the bottle with raw Washington Snowberry honey.

Pours unclear blonde. Smell is full, paint thinner, peach, glue. Taste is sharp. Tart, dry, oaky. Refined sourness. Fading fruityness (peach?) yet the tastes aren't very 'melted together'. Decent taste, horrible scent. Was given to my by the Untapp'd boyzz that were raving over this... One of the very many reasons I don't feel home @ Untapp's I guess?

Bottle thanks to Anthony. Pours a cloudy pink with small white head that lasts. The aroma is floral, funk, oak, yeast. Slick body, funky, oak, plum skin, light tartness, very nice.
