Tsjeeses was brewed for the first time in 2004 but not under that name because we didn’t find a name yet. Different code names like "Dangerous Blonde”, “New Years Blond” were used in 2004 and 2005. While brewing the same beer in 2006, our team got so hit by the beer, at a certain point, somebody said: “Tsjeeses what a great beer”. This batch was bourbon barrel aged.

Fairly hazy brown with a whole load of floaters and barely any head. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch, oxidization, vanilla, oak, dead yeast and light herbal notes. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Slightly murky copper brown, beige head. Sweet malt and bourbon aroma, a little dried fruit and vanilla too. Sweet flavour, nice and clear bourbon, sweet malt, yeast, dried fruit. Solid warmth with a long, not overly boozy bourbon finish. Nice.

Pre-apocalypse cross-border stop at Premiere Gourmet netted me this fella. Pours muddy brown with essentially no head. Sweet malty bourbony nose. Taste is big full sweet malty goodness, with toasty dried fruit, bourbon booze hit. Rolls into sweet dried fruit finish. Excellent!
