Tsjeeses was brewed for the first time in 2004 but not under that name because we didn’t find a name yet. Different code names like "Dangerous Blonde”, “New Years Blond” were used in 2004 and 2005. While brewing the same beer in 2006, our team got so hit by the beer, at a certain point, somebody said: “Tsjeeses what a great beer”. This batch was bourbon barrel aged.

330ml bottle from BeerShop.com.ua. Vintage 2011. Pours a hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma is very fruity, sweet, some alcohol. Similar taste with some caramel notes. Slightly boozy. Couldn’t find any bourbon barrel aging presence. Just a good Belgian beer.

pours copper-amber. Not much foam. Aroma caramelly, bit if bourbon and malts. Also a bit of booze. Dried fig and other sweet fruits. Tastes sweet, dried fruit sweetness, orange marmalade. Bitter jam sweetness. Herbal hop longer with some bitter edge. Not really feeling bourbon but somewhat better than a regular.

Lots of oak, a touch of bourbon with regular tsjeee notes. Just dried apricot at the finish

BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear copper, compacted sediment, diminishing beige head, latent gushing. Pretty strong Bourbon barrel nose, vanilla, masking out the malts and lovely dried fruit if the plain version. But also some musty cheesy notes, as well as cooked corn and mold. Medium sweet, lovely vanilla sugars, subdued alcohol, some woody tannins and a harsh musty bitterness. Seems to be a fine beer, but flawed.

Very bourbonny, maybe a bit too much. Lots of apply, some spice. Definitely full of flavor. Curious for the port.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy bronze color, with some cola bubbles. Bad sherry, black bread, rye, wet grass, and bitters. Sweet, spicy, and off. Medium body, sticky, thick, and dank. This is off, in some way.
