Can. Pours darkish amber (I was expecting something darker). Mostly caramel on the nose, but with some citrus. More malty in mouth with a touch of resin. Bit thin. Feels pretty retro in that I'm sure I drank something from Mountain Goat like this about a decade ago... That's not a bad thing either.

Pours dark amber, large lasting head.Nose shows melon, toasty malt, pineapple, mango and peach.Flavours include bready malt, mango and pineapple, some piny and resinous hops, before finishing with a very restrained bitterness.

Can. Hoppy dark ale, huh. Darkish amber with a pale grey (!?) head. Aroma of kumquats, biscuit. Sweet with some chocolate as well as biscuit, oranges and a little pine. Moderate bitterness with a fair bit of sweetness at the end. As usual from Philter, it's highly quaffable.
