We infused another version of our Amarone BA Flemish Red/Oud Bruin, also aged for 20 months, with blood oranges, gentian root, wormwood, artisjoke and cardoon leaves. Fruity, savoury, with a soft acidity and a little bitter finish. Bottled February 2020; 6,5% alc, 75cl & 150cl

750ml bottle. Tart, sour and bitter with some dry earthiness, hints of grapefruit peel, blood orange and orange peel. Quite dry and untypical.

EB. Demanding yet rewarding but would most likely really shine with a good food pairing.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is licorice root, earth, oak, spice, leather. Slick body, orange zest, licorice, earth, dry finish, good.

Dark brown/amber colour, beige foam. Nose of red wine, lots of orange peel, herbs. Taste is very juicy, lots of oranges with dry and bitter herbs. The beery version of a negroni. Very well made but not my favourite blend of ingredients.
