Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Martinus at weekly tasting. Clear dark orange color, small white head. Smell malts, hops, lightly resin, mango. Taste malts, hops, resin, bitter, spruce. Oh lovely bitter spruce-resinous finish. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Nice, but how much better would it have been when it was really fresh!? Still, very nice!

Taste is initial light to medium sweet then medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and medium bitter with notes of caramel, fudge, citrus fruit, cookies, biscuits and melon. Round, rich and refreshing.

Bottle, 6.8%. Mild flowery aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Big stable fluffy tan head. The flavour has a high bitterness level along with a mild fruity note. The bitterness is clean, but quite uncompromising. Quinine bitterness, which is not really my favourite.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a more or less clear body, dark golden in color, and with a small, off-white head. Some tropical fruits in the aroma, canned peaches in syrup mostly, and some malts. Soft on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Full body. A bit low on bitterness in the flavor. And too sweet. Long fruity finish. A decent ipa that doesn’t impress. 130821

Sampled at the Brew’s Best Beer Fest on my trip to Vegas, back in 2011. Caramel amber colour with a mild beige creamy head. A nice blend of caramel and roasted malt aromas with some hop in the background. The hop is more apparent in the taste with the malt much milder. Dry mouthfeel. An overall darker tasting IPA.
