Bottle bought in Portland by a friend who recently visited USA. Clear amber with a small creamy head. This is a balanced IPA, malt and hops in the aroma and taste. Grape, some orange and resin. The finish was bitter. Rather crisp mouthfeel. Descent stuff.

Draft - Floral hops with a nice balance. Clear copper with a decent thick head. Nice and floral with a citrus punch, very nice malt balance. Nothing stands out, but just so well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Deep amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of resin, pine, grapefruit, caramel, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lots of pine and resin taste and a long, lingering bitterness like so many west coast IPAs. Standard fare.

Bottle: Poured a deep slightly hazy orangey color ale with a super large foamy head with great retention and some pretty good lacing. Aroma of pine and light citrus hops with some caramelized malt is pretty good. Taste is mostly dominated by floral pine and citrus notes with light fruity ester and a pretty solid caramel malt backbone. Bitterness level is about average with quite a bit of floral undertones. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Solid offering though I was expecting hops punch to be even more solid.

Tap at Beer Revolution, Calgary. It pours clear amber, with a medium off-white head. The nose is hop-sack, leaf, caramel, resin and light farmyard. The taste is pine, grapefruit, lemon pith, resin, leaf, varnish, light spice, malty backbone, caramel and a long, pretty damn bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A solid IPA, perhaps too malty for my preference. Good bitterness though!

Bottle at Sander’s place, NYC that time we drank lots of beer. Pours red-gold with a small, white foam head. Big caramel nose with hints of pine. Medium sweet flavor with more caramel, toast, some gritty pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Piney hop finish with still lots of caramel, some dank grapefruit. OK. Might not be at its freshest, that’s for sure.
