Lizzie First version Fulminating yellowish head, towering over clear, finely carbonated pale yellowish golden beer. Spicy, old clothes, dried herbs, dusty shelves. More of the same in the taste. Oxydation obvious (fresh product!). Initially dry finish, seemingly outfermented white candi sugar, but warming up, it gets sweet and even sugary. Light feel, maybe because of attenuation, alcohol obvious, close to overcarbonation. This is not the kind of craftbeer that will wean the unwary punters away from their safe Leffe! 8/4.5/5/3/4.5 > 4.9/10
Lucie Very huge, fine, if irregular off-white head, very stable over clear golden beer, still. Spiced, jasmin tea, green tea, wormwood, lavender, white candi sugar. Bitterish - spiced, again lavender or wormwood but with a lot of sugar, even speculoos, behind. Every new sip is bitter-spiced, only to peter down into sugary sweetness. Sugared green tea. Bit slick, light body. Starts carbonated upon suipping, but finish feels almost dead. Hmmpf. Definitely tinkered with, but not everything is that much better.
