0.5l bottle. Pours a dark dark brown body with a fluffy white head. The first thing you notice is all the spice! Ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg. Also some sweet chocolate. Average tickling carbonation. A different and interesting brew. Almost perfect now in the Christmas season but just not quite there yet. Will give this batch a new try next year, and I suspect it will be even better then.

500 mL bottle from Plaza Liquors in Johnson City, TN, 8/28/10. Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big ginger notes, citrus, other spices with the cardamom featuring prominently. The taste is bitter hops and spices, big herbal notes and faint caramel malts. Medium bodied. Pretty decent.

pours dark brown, tan head. Aroma nice winter spices, dark malts, roast, ginger and spices, tangerine like sweetness with tropical hops, chocolate malts. Flavors, plenty of nice spices, clove, ginger, cinnamon, floral/tropical hops, hints of chocolate and roasted malts. Some floating sediments, yeasty mouthfeel. Finish is nicely spicy with right hops and malt balance leaning on the roast/chocolate.

Bottle. Maybe the best christmas beer ive ever had. Strange spicy christmasy aroma with a touch of citrus hops. The taste has a quite light malty taste with a body that makes it refreshing and easy to drink. At the same time a very complex beer with lots of pine needles and coffee. Perfect beer for a night in front of the fire/tv.
