Tap at Diagonal, Varna. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is coconut, coffee, mocca, sugar cane. Body is heavy and sweet, with lots of roast malts. Molasses, coffee, chocolate and coconut. Low carbonation, a bit burnt, also a bit overpowered. Still a good beer.

Bottle sampled at Den Haag bottle share at Brody’s. Thick sweet malts, spicy grains, light cocoa, chocolate, soft coconut, dry grassy, orange, pomegranate. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

8 3 8 3 16Bottle shared at The Hague Bottleshare July ‘18. Brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roast, rye, cocoa and coffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

From tap at Craftbeer Corner, Cologne. Black color with beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, light coconut. Sweet and bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle at home from Wine Rack, Henley, 14th June 18. Pours black with a tan rim head. Aroma is booze, chocolate, toasty, burnt sugar. Taste is bitter, dry, then some sweet and bitter dark chocolate, spice, some booze heat, coconut on the finish, never too sweet. Great bitter chocolate Bounty linger, good one.

Süffiger, minimal rauchig-würziger Beginn. Deutlich Schokolade, der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Vollmundig, mit der Zeit schwerer, cremig, lecker. 10/9/10/11//11

Black beer, thin beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, coconut, malt. Flavour has the same qualities. There's a bit of liquorice in the taste too. It's rich, hefty and smooth and while I could happily live without the coconut kick this is a very nice imperial all the same, which just enough booziness in the finish to remind you of the strength.
