Rated at Haze Wave Festival 2024. Roasty, stuffy and earthy with some syrup and rye bready notes

Heftige Nummer. Nicht mal so sehr die Prozente, sehr röstig und bitter. Eines ist ok, mehr ginge nicht. Für mich lieber etwas samtiger.

Tried at the Lincoln beer festival 2017 8.5%. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma has big alcohol. Taste roasted malt but very sweet. Sickly.

6th Feb 2015: shared bottle at the 3rd Annual beer exchange in De Bierboom (Brugge). Almost jet black in looks, the head a tanned foam blanket. Deep roasted malty nose and taste, liquorice notes to the fore. Semi-sweet initially fading to a drier, bitter finish. Decent and easy to drink, even at 8.5% ABV.

Dunkel rötlichbraune Farbe, ordentliche bräunliche Schaumkrone. Geruch stark nach Malzbonbons, viel Karamell, etwas Vanille, alkoholisch. Geschmack kräftig malzig, Rübensirup, Kaffee, leicht holzig, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle shared by Deanso @ The Hague Tasting. Very dark brown color, a nice dark red glare coming through, small to average sized good lacing beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasty, nicely bitter, lightly liquor, liquorice. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.
