Bottle shared by dEnk @ The Hague Tasting. Opaque black color, small light brown head. Smell and taste malts, some caramel, some bitter, a hint of smoke but barely detectable. A bit thin texture, average body and carbonation.

66cl bottle shared @THT. Bad gusher. Most of it ended up on the table/floor. Thick creamy tan head which disappears quickly. Clear black pour. A decent stout, shame about the bad gushing.

Bottle from Cunningham, many thanks Henrik. Very dark brown color with huge beige head. Extremely gushing beer. Strong coffee aroma. Roasted malt, coffee, notes of caramel in taste. Good.

Black color with a fine beige head. Pleasant coffee and roasted malt aroma. Medium + body. Moderate sweet and a moderate bitterness. Pleasant balanced coffee and roasted malt flavor. Nice!

From a shared 50cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts with some slightly sour wooden notes, roasted malt and hints of smoke. Quite sweet, a bit too sweet for my taste, but quite nice and balanced with a light bitterness. (2014-02-15 - Grand Tasting, Fredriksten festning, Halden)

Shared bottle at the Grand Tasting, RBNG 14, Fredrik 3.’s Hall. Dark brown body, Shiny surface. Mid-sweet aroma of dark malts, slightly roasted. Taste profile containing dark chocolate malts, earth, caramel and liquorice. Roasted bitter ending, mid-sweet. Pleasant stout version, a bit thin though (Halden 15.02.2014).

Bottle 500ml @ RGNG-14
Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes roasted malt, chocolate, floral and hint of smoke. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Fra fat på Cardinaltreff feb-14: en meget god øl, lettdrikkelig, rund og balansert. Fyldig for sine 4,7 og med en god ettersmak. Bjørnebæraroma og med pent skum. En stout som med letthet kan nytes også i sommersesongen. For meg som ikke er særlig begeistret for røykøl er enne varianten både interessant og nytbar. Første gang jeg smaker et øl med røykt humle. Lurer på hvordan den ble røykt, og over hva slags brenne. Saltet er nok også en bidragsyter til smaksfylden.

Black with dark beige head. Aroma of roasted malts with hints of bacon that has been forgotten at the back of the fridge. Well balanced taste. Round moutfeel.
