03-09-18 // tasting flight at the brewpub location in downtown Haifa. Clear dark golden. Grain nose. Quite sweet malty body for a pils. Double? Dont get the definition. Some sort of bitter finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of ThreeCats. Pours a hazy golden with a huge and frothy white head with good retention. Farty and Bretty nose. Medium body, some sweet malt but also loads of sulphur, very farty. Some late hops - and again some leathery Brett. Clearly infected, but drinkable though. 150413

@ the brewpub in Haifa. Golden with a thick head. The aroma is a bit doughy. The taste is as well, with some leafy hop character. Malt-forward palate with light alcohol and understated hop - not entirely what I was expecting.

0.33L bottle, big long lasting yellowish head, hazy deep golden colour, aroma of apple, spice and some flowery notes, malty flavour with apple, peach and a strong earthy bitterness. long bitter aftertaste with lingring apple notes. I would call this a belgian pilsener.

Re-rate 12/12/11: Draught at the brewpub. A younger version of the beer called "Beaujolais". Almost clear deep golden color with a white head. Aroma of earthy yeast, vegetal notes, a touch of diacetyl and some floral and slightly grassy hops. Flavor has mellow malt sweetness at first with light caramelly notes and a bit of yeast and continues bitter with light acidity and slightly spicy and slightly citric notes. Rounded mouthfeel. Pretty nice and quaffable. 6/3/7/4/13=3.3
Draught sample(s) at Ma’abarot 10th Beer Festival. Clear golden with a very light haze. Floral aroma, somewhat herbal, with light fruitiness, vegetal hints and some bready malt. Flavor starts with some sweetish bread notes and light grainy hints and quickly turns pleasantly bitter, hoppy and herbal with some grass and citrus notes and a lingering aftertaste. Medium-bodied. A bit Kellerbier-like and the hoppiness reminds me of Christoffel Bier. Not a by-the-book Pilsener but definitely tasty, refreshing and quaffable. 7/3/7/3/14=3.4
