Pours quite transparent brown colour, topped with thin beige head, very unstable. Mild roasty nose, slight chocolate and nuttiness, dry fruits and a bit smelly wet grains. Taste slight sweetness upfront, lots of nuttiness. A bit bitter. Roasty aftertaste, shorter. Light body. Delivers what the name promises.

Bottled 500ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Dark amber coloured, small off-white head, caramel in the nose. Toasted malt, caramel, hazelnut, subdued coffee and quite dry bitterish finish. More coffee wouldn't hurt.

Clear dark amber brown colour, small frothy light tan head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, maple syrup, bit roasty, coffee, nutty notes (hazelnut, peanut), hint of chocolate. Taste medium sweet and bitter, coffee. Medium body, oily to watery texture, average carbonation, aftertaste mild bittersweet. A smooth porter and though a bit on the thin side very nice.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, caramel, coffee, chocolate. The flavour is medium bitter, light sweet with a malt, chocolate hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Plenty going on here. The sweetness is kept nicely in the background too.

Pours clear red copper with off white head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is roast, fresh fruits, and caramel. Taste is watery, roast, coffee, and dark chocolate bitterness. Finish has dry bitterness, reminds hazelnuts. Overall: drinkable, but nothing special.
