440ml can from Morrisons. Pours thick black with nice tanned head on top. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, light roast and nuts. Taste is very moreish with same elements and a moderate bitterness. Full body and soft carbonation. Very good.

440ml can. Poured a clear, almost black colour, with a short-lived, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, molasses, vanilla and alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a rich, oily, roasty, light chocolate, coffee, nutty, warm alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Black, dense brown head. Lightly roasty yet sweet smell, lactose, vanilla, milk chocolate. Not super thick, some sharpness in the mouth. Taste is rich and lightly sweet, with some bitter coffee roast at the end. Good marzipan, some chocolate. Very good.

440ml can from Morrisons - Jet black body, thick lush inviting tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate, vanilla and possible marshmallow sweetened espresso coffee (if there is such a think). Robust bittersweet roasted tastes, creamy mouthfeel, tidy finish. Well balanced and hides the ABV beyond belief. £4 well spent.

440ml can from Morrisons, Hatch End. A dark black coloured pour with a medium dark beige beige head on top. Rich, sweet, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, almond, marzipan aroma. Tastes similar, quite sweet and decadent. Like it very much indeed, especially the almonds and it is available in a supermarket.

Can from Morrisons Supermarket, Moston. Black, thick and heavy, you can taste the alcohol in this brew, which has a small light brown head. It's hard to get past the alcohol in its nose, but there's some of the almond in there. It's heavy again in taste, but the vanilla seems to subdue its roasted malts to an extent here.

A superb impy stout! Pours a delicious looking deep, dark brown, near black, with a frothy beige head and amaretto and a hint of vanilla on the nose. It's velvety smooth, full bodied and a little creamy. The taste kicks off with a sweet chocolate, vanilla and marzipan taste followed by roasted malt and bitterness, and a boozy background. Very good
