Aroma of sweet dried fruits, alcohol, smoked ham. Delicious oak flavours really add to the quality of this brew. Flavour is medium sweetness. Light bitterness. Not your typical Barley Wine, but tasty.

Bottle. dark amber color. Oak, hints of vanilla and white pepper in the aroma. malty sweet, alcoholic, oaky flavor with white pepper. The oak and the alcohol are dominant, the oak even dries out the beer.

0.33 l bottle at ’Café Gollem’ (Raamsteeg). Hazy, dark brownish amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of raisins, prunes, caramel, vanilla and brown sugar. Sweet, malty and minimally fruity taste of raisins, prunes, brown sugar, caramel and some vanilla, followed by a medium long, slightly warming, minimally alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

At a tasting, many thanks Mom and Dad, almost no head, slow gushing, murky brown color with reddish taints, aroma of smoke, oak and vanila, flavor of smoked cheese with a biscuity sweetish malt and some oak, light sourness, light to medium bitterness. A bit strange, fair.

Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, plommon, vita russin, farinsocker med toner av marsipan och choklad. Lagom sötma, syrlig, en aning pepprig beska med smak av citrusskal.

Bottled. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is toffee, some rather boozy notes along with some slight fruity and floral notes. Flavour is quite boozy with some very sweet fruity and floral notes as well as mild spices. Too much alcohol for it’s own good.
