Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Ripe fruity marmalade aroma with Belgian yeast, ripe stone fruits, pine resin, malt, canned peach, some bubble gum and banana. Flavour is pretty sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is above medium. Ripe, sugary fruits, the yeast is definitely there. Decent, but not really my IIPA.

DIPA with Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria brewed by Boundary in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Initially thick and very mousy, egg-white, regular, opening head, thinning until eventually only a disrupted waferthin ring remains; cloudy, deep warm orange-hued peach blonde robe. Utterly bright aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice, papaja, lime zest, pomelo, peach jam, guava, passionfruit liqueur, soggy rusk, canned apricot, olive oil, diesel, fresh lemonbalm leaves, biscuit cake. Sweet and spritzy onset, a wave of bright orange juice and fresh mandarin citrusiness with passionfruit, papaja and peach thrown into the mix, lightly sourish in a citric, refreshing way and with some early bittering 'stings' on the sides of the tongue; lively carbonated, with full and soft body. Doughy maltiness with a more firm, biscuity and bread-crusty edge, providing a solid base for a retronasal 'cloud' of bright, colourful, 'summery' hoppiness, hinting at blood orange, papaja and guava with a very light piney touch; the hops also add confident, yet ever gentle bitterness, accentuated by a warming, wodka-like alcohol glow in the end, with a mildly peppery tail. Refreshing and supple in spite of its strenght and sultry character, thanks to the radiant citrusiness of the hops (Mandarina Bavaria in particular in this case), with a malt base that seems better developed than is often the case in this type of hazy DIPAs - as 'well-malted' as it is 'well-hopped'. Lovely!

Can. Almost clear orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, light and mildly dry with a decent minerally crispness. Light malts with a decent creamy sweetness. The hops are not a bright crisp extravaganza, but they are well delivered and well thought out. Good ripe Mandarin, as strong as I have ever tasted this somewhat enigmatic hop. Soft pine. Good tropical fruits, must be mosaic, but quite bruised and ripe. A touch of hop spice on the finish. Good ripe fruity dipa.
