A well-balanced and full-bodied beer demonstrating fruitiness, with the Crystal Malt content being distinctive. The hoppy mouth gives way to a sweeter finish.

Relatively recent addition to the Hook Norton range, a dark mild with a light beige head and dark mahogany colour; malty aroma, chocolate, coffee grounds, raisins, candied dates; malty, simple taste, soft sweetness, smooth and somewhat thin mouthfeel, restrained bitterness in the finish. Simple indeed but in that sense a typical mild, nothing exciting, but I’m not sure this genre is very suitable for really exciting beers...
