Tasted this at the Filosoof tavern in Stekene fifteen years ago. Certainly not an original beer, most likely an alias of Floreffe Prima Melior. The owner of the tavern also told me it came from Lefêbvre and not John Martin, but I'll never be able to find out more about it, as the tavern in question has ceased to exist in the meantime. I guess I’ll have to do with this very old rating then: clear bronze coloured beer under a medium pale beige head, resinous mouthfeel, sweet with some dark fruitiness and honeyish malts, sourish touch, some herbal hops in the finish but the sweetness stays dominant, even a tad cloying. Did not like it very much, but it has been a long time...
