Many thanks for this bottle to Beersiveknown. Nice deep black pour. Aromas of roast and chocolate. Flavor matches aroma, but with hint of earth

Bottle @ Alesbymail. Pours black with a small disappearing head. Chocolate, vanilla, fruit, mild roast and ashes. Smooth and soft with a low carbonation. Tasty and uncomplicated. Not an imperial stout but more like a foreign stout as already stated.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como, 7.5% ABV, BB 30/05/14
Black color with small sized brown head, short lived. Aroma of chocolate, light roasted malt. Round body, lean, with good chocolate flavor and light vanilla; ordinary bitterness; evident (unwanted) liquorice too.
More Foreign Stout than Imperial Stout; good but not impressive.

Bottle bought at The Grain Barge, Bristol and enjoyed at home. Clear dark black brown colour with virtually no head - what there was very quickly disappeared. Aroma of roasted malt, and chocolate. Moderate sweetness. Medium bodied, the texture is a little oily, with soft to flat carbonation.

bottle from Darts Farm. Deep brown, almost black, beige-brown head. Aroma of chocolate. Full-bodied, lots of chocolate, not too sweet and not too bitter, perfectly balanced. Smooth and velvety palate. Delicious and moreish!

50cl bottle, bb 18/01/14. Dark brown, thin, ladting brown head. Quite sweet malty aroma, licorice, dark fruits, not very roasty. Flavor has sweetness, dark fruits, salt, licorice and finishes dry and hoppy with some cocoa notes. Medium bodied, oily, sticky on the lips. Slight disappointment, too sweet for my taste.

500ml bottle [7.5% abv as per label]. Black colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, tan to medium brown head. Dark fruity and yeasty aroma. Taste is initially dry and herbal hoppy, moderately sweet underlying fruity notes of dark berries give way to some roast and even a smoky note, the finish is again sweet fruity and chocolately; lively carbonation - presumably to be attributed to the Belgian yeast -, sticky, oily palate.
