Bottle. No label on the bottle, only a sticker on the crowncap. Color: In between amber and ruby, thin off-white head. Aroma: Roasted malt, caramel, hints of Cognac. Taste: Roasted malt, moderate to medium sweet, lightly bitter. Notes of caramel. Subtle notes of the Cognac BA, which are better recognizable towards and at the finish. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Remarkable low alcohol for an Quad, tending to a Double, but in this case I think it makes the beer more balanced with the subtle Cognac hints. Medium body. The BA could be a little more pronounced. This beer does not really stand out, but overall it is very easy drinkable and pretty nice. Well done, brewers of De Grieze.
