It’s been 7 years since we first rolled out our first hazy ipa, Obligatory, and after numerous variations on the style, we still don’t tire of the possibilities. It may seem like a never ending series of small tweaks of grain or hops to a similar beer, but we seek to create variation in that narrow range using our process to separate our beers from the market, then ingredients to create variation amongst them.
Enter REPETITIVE ORIGINALITY. For this beautiful double ipa we just used all of our favorite ingredients.... pretty simple. A blend of Pilsner and Golden Promise for a base, torrefied wheat for texture and a massive dose of flakes and malted oats to round out the body. Then, amongst all the incredible hops available, we chose Citra, Mosaic, Strata and Vic Secret. This beer is awash in body and aroma, and is all the things we love in a hoppy beer.

Aromas lean resin with a little citrus and a hint of pineapple. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, with good balance between sweet, bitter and carbonation. Add in a touch of coconut. Good body and a bittersweet finish. Good drinking beer.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Light pine and pith aromas on the nose some pineapple and mango as it warms. Lychee, pine and mandarin orange notes on the palate. Quite dry with a nice refreshing finish.
