Amager Rye Porter is the result of fruitful cooperation between the best of Danish and American brewing cultures. It’s base is made of hard roasted malts and 16% rye. It adds a fantastic sweetness, and a titillating spicy edge, which, combined with a subtle and balanced acidity, is reminiscent of rye bread. This is not a beer for the weak, we’re pleased with the outcome and hope you will be too.

Smak och doft av choklad, kaffe, karamell, vanilj, mörk frukt med toner av vanilj, nötter och laktris. Rund och len, med en distinkt pepprig beska med smak av bitter mörkchoklad.

Botella de 50 cl en Cimeria. La segunda botella ya de está maravillosa porter en san mateo 2013. Increíble porter de sabores tostados y quemados, intensos y salvajes nórdicos. Cuerpo medio de color negro con espuma oscura persistente.Imprescindible tomar de nuevo.

This porter poured a deep brown colour with a creamy, brown head. Scents include cocoa, ripe fruit, coffee, caramel and roasted malt. First swig was quite thick with an almost oily mouthfeel. med/low carbonation with flavours of caramel, roast and coffee most predominant. Finish is roasty caramel with a little hop bitterness lingering.

Bottle. Pours black with a small airy brownish head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, muscovado and liquorice. Full body with soft carbonation. Flavour is burned malts, coffee and liquorice, with a burned finish.

66cl bottle shared at a Paas tasting the hague. Thin tan head. Clear black pour very enjoyable. Another great amager beer.

Dark opaque black color, tiny off-white head. Its aroma is toasted, licoricey and dark malty. Medium to full-bodied. Quite velvety palate. Licorice, toasted malts, soft ryeish touch. Rye bread aftertaste. Another high-quality brew from Amager. One minus: perharps some vegetable notes lurking.

Single from the LCBO, written "Rye Porter" on front label. Pours an almost black colour with a creamy and bubbly mocha head with great retention and lots of foamy thick lace. Beautiful aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and molasses. Starts rich, but calms down after a few minutes. Balanced mouthfeel between wet and oily, with a little stickiness to it. Alcohol is well-hidden by the light bitterness in the finish. Burnt malt taste with notes of anise, rye and molasses. Lots of debris left in the bottom of the bottle. A nice twist on the Imperial Porter with the rye. Well-brewed.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in October 2013. (batch 547) Black with a large, creamy tan head. Aroma and taste of licorice, roasted malt, some chocolate and coffee. Not that bitter and with a slight tartness in the finish. Relatively soft and easy to drink.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, rye and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with and long rye, licorice and chocolate finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
