@home poured into a tumbler. Deep ruby brown colour, good creamy beige head, half-way lasting, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, liquorice, hint vanilla, earthy notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, coffee, dark chocolate, earthy notes. Thin body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering dry bitter roasted malt aftertaste, ashy and earthy notes, good.

Pours a deep dark colour, but not quite black, and a firm light beige head with long retention. Aroma's: licorice, rye, malty. Retronasal there's rye bread and malt, light licorice stick. Flavour is light malty sweet with light moderate bitterness. Light medium bodied. Long finish, slightly dry with good bitterness.

Crowler from Malt & Mold. Pours dark brown with ruby red highlights against the light, large spongy dark beige head, roasted malt aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter roasted malt taste, thin body. long dry finish. Smooth and dry.

16 ounce can. Translucent cola brown color. Large frothy tan head. Roasted malt nose. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of semi-sweet chocolate and dark corn syrup. Sticky mouthfeel. Smoky malt finish.

Pours mahogany-tinged cola int a stein. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Brown bread and chocolate aromas. Sweet raisin bread upfront turning to pumpernickel toast before the lasting bitter cocoa nib finish.
