50cl bottle picked up at the Three Choirs Vineyard near Newent. A bright amber pour with a thin white head; sour fruity aroma; sour apple taste with a hint of farmyard; and a light sour finish. Actually better than it sounds.

Bottle at home, from the Wine Society Winter Beer Box, big thanks to Jeff 26/12/16. Gusher Alert !!! ... fearing the worst now. Golden copper with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange peel, light plastic, biscuit, brown bread, faint spice., lemon rind, damp straw. Taste comprises light funk, brett like notes, hay bale, tarte fruit rinds, farmyard, bready pangs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little prickle, semi drying close with a light bitter edge and soured fruit closure. Bit of an infection here me thinks but I managed the rest of the bottle that hadn’t gushed ... almost like a light sour in some respects and it began to grown on me! Yup ... I doubt I’d have enjoyed this as much if it was delivered as intended !!

Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a metallic hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Perhaps served a little too cool but not the best example of an English bitter.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Slightly bretty and lemony nose with a little bit of pale malts. Fruity, lemony flavor with a malty background. Medium body, quite dry. Sour, brett-like finish with a pleasant bitterness. I suspect the sourness wasn’t intended, but it suits the beer well, making it both tasteful and quenching. 110415
