Can. Dark brown with a beige head that's soon less than a coat. Aroma of singed caramel and butterscotch, dried fruit that I'd probably guess cherries rather than dates. It does smell quite like sticky toffee/ date pudding (which I like) - but is that a good idea? I guess I bought it. Medium bodied. Big syrupy butterscotch but there's enough roast, spice and bitterness that it doesn't seem cloying, although it is pretty damned sweet. As is so often the case, a decisive finish makes a huge difference.

From a 355ml can on 25/8/2020. Pours a deep brown with a medium head. Has a quite a strong sweet bready, pudding, with a sharpish fruity nose. Tastes very sweet with lots of caramel, toffee and date as advertised. The texture is slick and syrupy, the carbonation moderate. A well put together dessert stout which does what it sets out to do.

Can from brewery. I had very lofty hopes for this release. This pudding is my gulity pleasure, and now, so is this beer. So much caramel and chocolate and date and simply a oral pleasurefest. So glad I have 3 more cans (and I might head off in search of more).
