Bottle at home. Pours deep brown with beige head. Nose is sweet malts, brown sugar. In taste it’s maltsand sugar again with a touch of fruits and coffee. Finishes off with sweet booze. Light to medium bodied and seriously overcarbonated.

clear darker chestnut to mahogany colour, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma and taste of cocoa or dark chocolate, raisins, some dried cherry, and syrupy-caramel notes; great one; thank you very much for sharing, kapusil

0.33l bottle. Almost totally black body with a thin beige head. The aroma opens up fairly slowly then shows notes of dark sugar syrup, molasses, nutmeg and raisins. Taste of apple cider, raisins, caramel, cocoa and some orange zest. Very nice.

Always a treat for me to have a Belgian ale to taste for the first time. Tonight I have a 33 cl bottle of Dark Dubbel which was obtained from the retail shop, belgiuminabox, certainly appreciated on my end. As I deliver it into my New Belgium snifter I see that it is very much dark, mahogany and cola comes to mind. The head is is tall, persistent and doe-brown in color. The smell of the brew is as hoped for, heavy with dark fruit, candi sugar and some yeast wafting up. But it is the taste we are looking for, is it not? I can say it is quite good. Figs, raisins, malt, dark bread, just a bit of sweetness and a sensation of thickness. No doubt I like this better than Pater, their other dubbel.

0,33 bottle. The beer is beautiful. And not because of the already classically beautiful glass, but because of what is in it. Beautiful, deep, barely transparent maroon, mahogany color, with beautiful shades facing the light at the edges. When filled, it is a huge, light brown, creamy foam that remains throughout. The aroma is also super. A little chocolate, a little prunes, a little raisins, a little caramel-toffeefee. All this kneaded into a round unit. As it warms up, it’s even tastier, but it’s getting more and more dark chocolate (and that’s why alcohol lurks there too). Sip feel: maybe not as full-bodied as I expected, with weaker-than-average carbonation, a little bit of alcohol. Taste: the same as the aroma :) dark chocolate, fuller than medium, delicately put together, sugary, honey-glazed, dried fruit, yet "brown beer" real Belgian. It came in very handy for me. The dried plum, raisin flavor prevailed throughout this. Serious and recommended dark-dubbel!

Gyönyörű a sör. Gyönyörű, mély, alig átlátható gesztenyebarna, mahagóni szín, a szélén a fény felé fordítva gyönyörű árnyalatokkal. Kitöltéskor hatalmas, majd végig megmaradó ujjnyi világosbarna, krémes hab. Aroma is szuper.

Smell-weak to medium, malt, Belgian, weak caramel. Foam-thin, malty, Belgian notes, caramel, bit acidic. Head is a medium-sized, medium-dark brown color. Appearance- generic black bottle cap, but nice looking bottle design.Very dark, clear ruby color. From - snifter Taste - weak malt, Belgian yeast, caramel. Semi-sweet, biot acidic and generally quite good Belgian, alcohol notes in the back.
