Bottle@SBWF2022. Rubyish brown colour with a big beige foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some nutty tones with liquorice, mild toffee. Flavour is toasted malts, some nutty tones along with wooden and mild toffee tones. Smooth and very drinkable.

Appearance: foggy bronze with a moderate off-white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: caramel, toffee, floral hop, initially a bit metallic. Taste: pretty dry. Light but persistent bitterness. Caramel, toffee, flowers, herbs, earth. Hoppy ending. Well-tasting. Mouth feel: light to medium body, average carbonation. Summary: OK.

Cask at Captain Cooks, Östersund. I actually found this bitter a bit too rough around the edges for my liking. Bit sticky tar ending. (24/8/22) --- Cask at Captain Cooks. Less rough this time but still plain boring. 2.8 to 2.7. (15/9/22). ---- Bottle from Systembolaget. On the one hand, a very pleasing deep autumnal aroma of liqouricey/sweet malts, but that is punched off course by a kind of macro thud like a bad doombar. Deep dark mahogany colour. Taste is relatively complex, with some hazelnuts, some woodfire. But it sadly just too intense / rough for me to be a good bitter. Kept at 2.7.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Rödbrun med ett stort skum. Doftar knäckebröd och bränt socker. Mycket rostad malt, röda bär och en bra örtig beska. Läder. Fyllig.
