Appearance: foggy bronze with a moderate off-white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: caramel, toffee, floral hop, initially a bit metallic. Taste: pretty dry. Light but persistent bitterness. Caramel, toffee, flowers, herbs, earth. Hoppy ending. Well-tasting. Mouth feel: light to medium body, average carbonation. Summary: OK.

Cask at Captain Cooks, Östersund. I actually found this bitter a bit too rough around the edges for my liking. Bit sticky tar ending. (24/8/22) --- Cask at Captain Cooks. Less rough this time but still plain boring. 2.8 to 2.7. (15/9/22). ---- Bottle from Systembolaget. On the one hand, a very pleasing deep autumnal aroma of liqouricey/sweet malts, but that is punched off course by a kind of macro thud like a bad doombar. Deep dark mahogany colour. Taste is relatively complex, with some hazelnuts, some woodfire. But it sadly just too intense / rough for me to be a good bitter. Kept at 2.7.
