Rich and full bodied, this dark ale is a year-round favorite. Brewed from six different malts and spicy hops. This porter is sure to please the connoisseur and novice alike.
Named after the first son of the brewer back in 1993, it was awarded the Gold medal for Robust Porter category in 2008 in America at the Great American Beer Festival. If you like dark, rich, and very complex beers, go no further than this offering.

My goal is to drink all the barrio. I don't mean to, but it's looking like it.

on tap-pours a disappearing light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty, then burnt/coffee. Taste is dark malt-roasty, then burnt/coffee/molasses, secondary earthy hops. Not my style.

From a growler at the AS BA Release, thanks to Craig, cbkschubert! Nose of coffe, chcolate and light flowery hops; Black with clear brown edges and a medium cinnamon tan head (I got to pop the growler and have the first glass); Falvor had a nice amount of light hop bitterness mixed with coffee and chocolate; finish is lightly bitter cocoa.
