Draft at Granite City Madison. Filtered bronze-orange, large beige/off-white head. A little overly malt sweet, not much hop character to balance it out. Not really perfect certainly, but at least it’s not infected. Classic in a way, smooth and sessionable, doughy sweet finish. Highly acceptable considering the two free Brats and chips, and hugish 25oz pout for 3.35.

Draft at GC Rockford. Pours a clear amber with minimal white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste is light sweet. Earthy leaves and caramel. Medium-light bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, ok. Pretty average Oktoberfest beer. Not something I would get again.

growler thanks to my father in law, pours caramel with a medium light tan head. Aroma is caramel malts and toffee with grassy hops. Flavor is sweet caramel and hay with a mild evergreen hop finish. A little too sweet to style, but still drinkable.

Draft @ Orland Park, IL location. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty aroma with some grainy hints. Sweetish malty grainy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

draft at Ft Wayne brewpub - Pours orange-amber with a one finger head. It has a mild aroma of caramel malt. The flavor is the expect malty sweetness with minimal hops presence. It’s medium bodied and goes down smoothly. There’s nothing special here, but it’s really not a bad beer. Good session brew.

Some malt in this beer, a little bit acidic. Proper orange color, moderate carbonation. Lots of bread and very dry malt. An ok Oktoberfest.
