A blend of 1-year old Foeder sour ale blended with 20% fermented Grenache juice. This grape is a native of Spain and also prevalent in the South of France. Our wine producer friend, Craig Hawkins from Testalonga El Bandito made a wine from Grenache with this name. It was a quote from a French producer, who considered this the king of grapes. We couldn’t resist... it came out as we hoped: tart, complex, really fruity and very vinous.

On tap at Sommarlådan. Hazy red with a small head. Tart with berries, some citrus and oak. A refreshing one.

A bottle from Systembolaget Tuna Park, Eskilstuna. Shared with little Dina, Ogi and Marko at the Grand 7.a2.ting 2021. Hazy pinkish red, small off-white head. Phenolic and taninic aroma, cherry, red fruit, vinous and acidic. Light fruity flavour, bland. Very thin, soft carbonation, light to medium body, light finish. Grapes?

Bottled 375ml. -Courtesy of hrabren, shared with him & Marko, thanks! Unclear red coloured, minimal to non white head, some grapes in the nose. Tart grapes, notes of citrus and some wood with slightly phenolic notes in the finish.

Huge thanks D&H! Murky red body, not really much head. Tart, funky, slightly perfumey aroma, phenolic light grapes, okay, if slightly earthy. Tart taste, guess some red berry notes more than outright red grapes, simple but pleasant tartness, vaguely corky. A bit on the watery side and not perfectly complex, but good stuff.

Flaska. Till en början mycket bärsötma. Därefter väldigt vinös. Avslutar torrt med mycket tanniner. Välbalanserat, gott och lättdrucket!

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Gushing. Cloudy deep red, brief head. Citric nose with some tart grapes. Tart with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Citric and lightly minerally with some red berries. Low bitterness. Doesn't lift.

Flaska från SB. Något mörkare röd, liten vit krona. En del svavel i doften. Smakar kryddigt. Brett, fat, röda druvor, kärnor och druvstjälk. Svavel hänger kvar även i smaken. Mjuk kropp, låg kolsyra. Mineral, torr och stram avslutning med mycket fat och tanniner. Växer något i glaset med mer jordgubb och hallon en stund in. Blir kanske lite väl kryddig. Saknar kanske lite mer kolsyra och att stramheten drar åt lite väl.
