A blend of 1-year old Foeder sour ale blended with 20% fermented Grenache juice. This grape is a native of Spain and also prevalent in the South of France. Our wine producer friend, Craig Hawkins from Testalonga El Bandito made a wine from Grenache with this name. It was a quote from a French producer, who considered this the king of grapes. We couldn’t resist... it came out as we hoped: tart, complex, really fruity and very vinous.

(Bottle) Reddish orange colour, slightly hazy, with brief frothy off-white head. Fruity, slightly woody nose with raspberries, pink grapefruit, herbs and barnyard. Fruity, woody taste with notes of raspberries, pink grapefruit, barnyard, apple skin, herbs, oak wood and red grapes. No bitterness. Light body, dry. Tart, woody and fruity. Lots of character. Very nice.

Tap at Fermentoren. Cloudy red amber, low golden cream Vinous and bretty nose. Medium chewy dry body, nice barn and wet leather, grape, lime notes, Light dusty hay and leather retronasal.

ABV: 8.0%. Murky matt medium red colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, pale malt, grapes, tart. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, dough, pale malt, wheat, grapes, light tart - sour. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20211023]
