Tap @ The Forge Public House. A stop on grand tour of Fort Collins breweries and bars with Tim, Aaron and Armin, Thanks !! Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, huge cituss and grapefruit hops. Taste is malt, rye, lots of hops, citrus and grapefruit. Medium body, soft carbonationn. 250212

Bottle. Pours a deep copper color with pretty decent off-white head and some thin lacing. Aroma is of hops and spicy rye. Taste is bitter piney hops, a strong rye character, and maybe some pepper. Overall a nice beer.

Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed prior to a long work trip out of the country. Appearance a dark caramel amber with a very rich, frothy white head that laces to the glass, looks decadent. Aroma is a nice, vibrant hoppy citrus, mixed with a present, subdued, but potent toasted malt and that aroma that goes along with whole cone hops, a bit of pine. Taste is really freaking good, tastes really fresh, enamle-ripping bitterness, I’m not completely familiar with the rye aspect, but there is a spice that I’m sure is attributed to it. Also, a nice bready flavor to it. There’s a lot going on, it could be a sipper but can also be easy drinking. This is an awesome and intense IPA.

Bottle. Copper beerwith a dark cream head. Grapefruit and light malt aroma. Pine and grapefruit flavor with light spice, malt and some earthiness. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and grapefruit lingers with malt and light spice.

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a clear copper and medium creamy off white head with sticky lacing. The aroma is a floral hop and pine. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and pine with bitter finish. A very good IPA from Sierra Nevada.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a slight orangish side to it. Head is nice and fluffy... maybe about 1/2 inch on my pour. Aromas are pretty faint... a bit of soap and citrus is all I’m picking up. That said, flavor delivers on the IPA bitter punch. This is pretty bitter... with a nice grapefruit and citrus hops presence that has a little bit of that rye flavoring as part of the balanced malt profile.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear amber with one finger dull white head. Some lacing, medium carbonation, medium body, and wonderful grapefruit & light pine aroma. Taste is grapefruit, rye and long light slightly bitter pine finish.
