Moderne Dansk is our barrel aged wild ale refermented with Danish Stevnsbær cherry juice from the renowned Frederiksdal Kirsebærvin in Denmark!
Moderne Dansk Batch 2 was blended in March 2020 and bottled in May 2020. Unlike for Batch 1, the base beer came from neutral oak barrels in our cellar, rather than barrels previously containing Frederiksdal wine. Batch 2 is 7.1% ABV.

Bottle shared, care of Chris. Thanks Chris! Pours a deep ruby hue with a finger of rose-pinkish foam that lingers. Funk, hay, horseblanket aromas with cherry stone, skin and fruit notes. Great depth and good minerality on the palate with loads of whole fruit cherry notes. Drying finish but nice cherry fruit and stone flavors and come out as it warms. Great stuff.
