We pressed handpicked pears, fermented them with our house culture yeast and let handpicked sour cherries macerate on them for 3,5 months.
Cherry to perry (that would have been a good name too!) ratio of 400 gr / liter.
Because our fruit press exploded we could only make 20 litres which is sold exclusively by Cafe Ernst during Modeste 2020.

Pours unclear amber, no foam or sign of carbonation. Smell is intense, wet cherry, full, hint of tartness, tad 'sweaty'. Taste is acetic acid, fruity (pear is mild, but forms a base) . Cherry is very recognizable. Not sure the acetic acid belongs, but it does work, and might even make the perry as enjoyable as it currently is. Medium body, that ends rather dry, with a mild carbonation. I enjoy it more than the dry hopped cider, yet question it being the product it is ment to be.
