Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.

Bottle in Portlethen. It pours clear golden with a decent foamy white cap. The aroma is quite soft, fresh, zingy lemon, lemonade, lime cordial, . The taste is firmly dry, floral, quite clean, decent bite of bitterness, bit of peppery spice, citrus action, lemony, pithy, zesty, slight soapy vibes and some greenness with a drying and bitter linger. Lighter end of medium body and soft, foamy carbonation. Nice citrusy golden. Drinkable stuff.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle, best before September 2019. Clear, amber with a white head. Sweetish, gently fruity, quite grassy aroma of lemon peel, pineapple and some grass. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, rather dry, fruity-floral and gently grassy taste of lemon peel, pineapple, some grass and a touch of grains, followed by a short, gently bitter, rather dry and grassy finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!

Bottle@Wells next the sea. Amber coloured beer with a strong white head. The aroma is very gently hopped and quite thin. The flavour is strongly bitter with plenty of hops and dryness. Overall a nice well hopped pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear brown body, nonexistent head. Soft floral hops aroma but you have to dig for it. Flavour is floral hoppiness with a crisp grain finish. Mouthfeel is just all right, a little watery. Decent but not too exciting.
