Pours dark reddish with not much head. Aroma of malts and molasses. Tastes of alcohol, dried fruit, and semi sweetness.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark, not black, small head. Starts strong and malty, not too roasty, modest alcoholic. Intense finish, fine malty, modest sweet, notes of caramel and coffee. Really good!

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet, aromatic toast-malty aroma with a nutty touch, accompanied by notes of caramel, bread crusts and a shy hoppy touch. Sweet flavour with a rounded bitterness, full bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Solid toast-malty base with a rather dry mouthfeel compared to other Doppelbocks; bitter-sweet malt-accented toasty finish with a present herbal hops character. Not a very complex but very tasty and not too sweet Doppelbock. 28.X.09

Bottle (a Quack-Duck delivery !): Deep copper coloured, clear, small to medium sized fluffy off-white head; quite light aromas of roasted malt and molasses in the nose, some lost dried fruits, too; relatively dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; shy caramelly-fruity aromas in the dryish dark-malty finish. Good, restrained Doppelbock............

bottle, boughta t the brewery. The owner’s name is Hermine, that’s why their Doppelbock is called Herminator. Deep brown colour with a fairly large beige head. Full-bodied, intensive malty flavours dominate, with hints of prunes, raisins, walnut and caramel. Shy hoppy flavours blend in during the lingering finish.
