We get round to the dark stuff.
Alternative Currency. Our take on an important style. An East India Porter weighing in at 5.7% abv.

Glorious Porter aromas and flavours of charred toast, breakfast coffee and roasted cacao nibs mingle amongst our signature lush mouth feel, apricot esters and a precise and punchy dry hop of Amarillo and ekuanot."

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from The Experiment. Pours black-brown with a frothy, beige head. Great stuff, with modest sweetness, lightly ashy roast, background grapefruit and orange rind, burnt toast, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation and velvety texture. Balanced finish, more bittersweet cocoa, sturdy roast, citrus hop accents. Really sound.

Can from Cork & Cask. Black body with a beige head. Patchy lacing. Aroma of coffee and cocoa powder. Flavour of blackcurrant and mango. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Hoppy enough to be a Black IPA. There’s a great fruity edge to this.

Taster at home courtesy of Saeglopur, big thanks. almost black color, small tan colored head. smells coffee, earthy, bit nutty, light smoked malts, oats, nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, leathery, peppery, some coffee, some oats, bit grassy, spices, bit herbal. finishes lightly roasty bitter with notes of coffee, oats and peppery notes. pretty nice one, good to drink, not the most complexity, but overall good stuff.
