Bottle from a trade with emacgee. Pours cloudy orangish brown color with off white head. Sour aroma. Possible infection? The flavor definately tastes infected. Unforunately this one is going down the drain.

Rusty ruby in color with a nice off-white head. Strong biscuit malts, light fruits, sweet, and a touch of caramel in the aroma. Lighter body than the appearance gives off. Bread/biscuit malts, toasty, light sweet fruits, some mild caramel, too. Really enjoyable and fun to drink beer that keeps me coming back for more.

Sampled on draft at Bocktown in Robinson Twp PA this beer poured a dark red-amber color with a medium sized khaki head. The aroma was sweet, fruit and malty - quite pleasant if a bit vague. The flavor was malty and sweet with caramel and fruity hops prominent and a faint nutty and yeasty undertone. The finish was medium length with caramel really lingering. Medium body. Very nice.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, 1/26/10

Aroma: It has some bready malts, quite a bit of caramel, fresh cut grass, and honey.
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear caramel-brown color with a bubbly beige head, and it leaves a good amount of spotty lace on the glass.
Flavor: The taste has a lot of caramel malty sweetness, a good amount of bread, some honey, a drop of spice, and a bit of grassy hops.
Palate: This beer is fairly light, but certainly not watery at all. It is really crisp and fresh, with an average amount of carbonation and a really nice mouthfeel. A very refreshing beer.
Overall Impression: This beer has a lot going for it. What a nice refreshing lager. This one just really drinks nicely, and I could see it making for an excellent session lager, but since I don’t know the ABV, I can’t confirm it that is true. Anyway, I liked it a lot. Very flavorful for the style, one of the better Marzens I can recall drinking.

Bottle thanks ericandersnavy. Pours with fading off-white head and a clear orange body. Aroma of caramel, honey, toast, corn. Taste is alcohol, cardboard, caramel and a light sourness. Creamy carbonation, but very thin.

Bottle from Secret Santa ’09: Pours a dark honey color with a thin beige head. Malty aroma is sweet and lightly floral. More florals come through in the taste and mix with the lager malty sweetness. A little sweet and cloying. Finished crisp enough with lingering florals.

12 ounce bottle from Market Street Wine Shop, Downtown, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee and nuts. Taste is caramel, dry leafy hops, nuts and faint fruity notes. Medium bodied. Smooth. Straightforward marzen. Pretty good.
