Rick dark malts herded together with some of the finest delicate East Kent Goldings & milk sugar (lactose), soft water, churned together to create a roasty yet milky, malty & creamy stout.

Black, thin off white head that dissipated to thin rim, no lacing
Aroma - light roasted malts, soft chocolate, light aroma
Taste - Soft roasted malts, soft chocolate, milk sugars, some dark milk chocolate malts, some funny lactose thing going on which is quite nice, touch of Bournville
Palate - medium carb and body, creamy texture, oily and somewhat gooey. Finish - creamy soft roast, chocolate, viscous finish, bit of dryness, more bitter roast in the tail. The gooey residue in the finish I’m not so keen on.
Overall - Ok decent milk stout

Cask (handpump) @ Southampton Arms, 139 Highgate Road, London, Greater London, England NW5 1LE.Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, mild coffee, light burnt, raisin notes, wood - tobacco notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120803]

Bottle from bottle-shop.co.uk. Almost dark color with huge frothy beige head. Strong coffee aroma, roasted malt, dark chocolate. Roasted, ashy taste with coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice. Nice long coffee bitter finish. Delicious, not sweet at all.

Aroma: Very interesting aroma of whisky, resin, vanilla, coffee and cocoa.
Appearance: Black body with a large, light brown head. Good lacing.
Taste: Bizarrely - as this is classed as a ’sweet stout’ - I found this to have a slightly sour, tangy taste, similar to unripe fruit.
Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light carbonation.
Overall: I definitely prefer Summer Wine’s Teleporter to this. Despite the awesome aroma, this was let down by a strange sour taste (perhaps this bottle was skunked?) and by being a bit on the thin side.

Cask@Southampton Arms, London. Very deep coppery brown, close to black colour with a small head. Aroma is rum raisin ice cream, roasted malts and some liquorice. Flavour is liquorice, fruits, some ripe fruits and mild rum raisins.

Cask at CP&K. It pours deep brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, treacle and toast. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, filter coffee, lactose, warming alcohol, charcoal, caramel, spice and brown sugar, with some bitterness in the finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Decent, but a bit thin and more bitter than anticipated.
