Whole Foods, Bowery bottle ($4.50ish): Pours amber without much head. Aroma is caramel malt and some English hops. Taste is lightly bitter throughout. Mild sweetness present as well. Nice body. Seems like it would make an excellent session. This ain’t a bad bitter one bit.

Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is of malt and fruit. The flavour is medium bitter that passes right to the palate and mellows in the aftertaste. It’s an English bitter, so there’s lots of malt too. Landlord really is one of the best bitters out there.

bottle at Old Crown - Pours honey colored with a small head. It smells of mild, toasty caramel malt. The flavor features caramel and grain with mild to moderately bitter english hops. It’s easy drinking with some mild bitterness lingering on the palate. Good.

Pours deep amber into an English pint. Pancake head with good retention recedes leaving scant trailing sheets. Sweet caramel and dough aromas. Soft with toasted nuts and caramel upfront turning to a dry, earthy, bitter finish.

500ml bottle - dull and unspectacular. A bit over rated for mine.
